New York-based Real Capital Analytics (RCA) announced today its acquisition of Real Estate Econometrics (REE). “As the flow of real estate capital and credit becomes increasingly international, RCA’s global platform offers the foremost vantage point for thought leadership and industry impact,” said Dr. Sam Chandan, founder and president of REE. Prior to his 2008 inception of REE, Dr. Chandan received his doctoral degree in Applied Economics from Wharton and was chief economist and senior vice president at Reis, Inc.
RCA, founded in 2000 by president Robert M. White, Jr., focuses almost exclusively on the CRE market and provides data collection, quantification, analysis and trend tracking services. “Dr. Chandan has long been one of the most influential economists in the industry and we are very fortunate to now have Sam as part of the RCA team,” says Mr. White of the transaction.
Dr. Chandan is expected to be employed as RCA’s global chief economist as well as being a member of their management committee.
